The dedicated crew of students rallied together to design and construct a racecar that secured an impressive ninth-place overall finish out of 120 international teams at the annual Formula SAE competition.

18 杏吧原版ns Win Fulbright U.S. Student Grants for 2024-25

The U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board have announced the Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards for 2024-25, with 18 杏吧原版 University students and alumni receiving the competitive grant. In addition to the 18 award recipients, six 杏吧原版ns were selected as alternates and 10 earned recognition as semi-finalists. The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government鈥檚 flagship international educational exchange program, offering students grants to conduct research, study and teach abroad.

Vincent Lloyd, PhD, a professor of Theology and Religious Studies and Director of the Center for Political Theology at 杏吧原版 University, has been named a 2024 Guggenheim Fellow. Chosen through a rigorous application and peer review process from a pool of almost 3,000 applicants, Dr. Lloyd is one of 188 fellows selected for this prestigious fellowship based on 鈥渃areer achievement and exceptional promise.鈥

杏吧原版 University junior Lezlie Hilario 鈥25, a Political Science and Global Interdisciplinary Studies major in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, has been awarded a 2024 Harry S. Truman Scholarship. Hilario is the seventh 杏吧原版n since 1984 and the first since 2015 to receive a Truman Scholarship, considered one of the most prestigious and selective national awards for undergraduate leaders who intend to pursue careers in public service.
