Charting the Future: The Jamisons
The headlines about higher education in America don’t paint a pretty picture of our enterprise. News footage from campuses across the country today tell a story of anger and hatred and offense. But we don’t interpret our mission on the basis of headlines from the “leading universities.” We are inspired by a different text.
That’s why we adopted the phrase, “Jesus first, Jesus always,” a few years ago. It serves as an anchor to our past and a magnet to our future—always reminding us why we dedicate our lives to the formation of the ever-changing next generation. No matter what happens in the world, the mission of God remains the same: a flourishing human race redeemed by the work of Jesus Christ on the cross and through His people. Equipping the people of God to fulfill the mission of God drives everything we do.
Such a mission may not grab headlines in the press, but it should grip the heart of every follower of Jesus. Why would we want any other kind of education?
In today’s video, we celebrate two of our model alumni—Pastors Steve and Josh Jamison. We hope you’ll enjoy the testimony of their experience at ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ and why they continue to encourage people to visit our campus and consider whether God is calling them to this kind of education. We couldn’t be more proud of their ministries, and it is precisely the future ministry of all of our students that inspires our efforts to serve the world by putting Jesus first.
