A Milestone in Counselor Education: Our Program Is Now CACREP Accredited
For over 25 years, our Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program has been equipping students to become licensed, compassionate, and effective mental health professionals. What began in the late 1990s as a campus-based program with evening classes for working adults has grown into a dynamic, mission-driven learning community serving students across the country.
In 2015, we expanded our reach by launching the online Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, designed for students who need the flexibility of online learning without sacrificing academic rigor or personal connection. Both formats continue to reflect our deep commitment to Christian values, clinical excellence, and holistic care.
Now, we are proud to announce a major milestone: Our program is officially CACREP accredited.
The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) sets the standard for quality in counselor education. This accreditation affirms the strength of our curriculum, the dedication of our faculty, and the effectiveness of our student training.
What does CACREP accreditation mean for students?
- A streamlined pathway to licensure in most states.
- Enhanced credibility with employers and doctoral programs.
- Access to more internship and job opportunities.
- Confidence in a program that meets nationally recognized standards.
Above all, this achievement strengthens our mission to develop counselors who serve with integrity, empathy, and purpose—grounded in both professional competence and Christian compassion.
Whether on campus or online, our students are part of a vibrant community that believes in the power of counseling to transform lives.
